5 Fantastic Happy Mothers Day Poem Ideas That Will Pull at Your Mom’s Heart Strings!

I don’t know about you, but I use to have a really hard time trying to figure out what to write in a Poem! And, if it was going to my mom? Well forget it… nothing every came to mind and the whole day was shot.

This got me thinking – What would make a great poem idea? Then it hit me… like a rock upside the head! Write what you know about… Wow! I couldn’t believe it… It couldn’t be that simple, right?

Oh yes it could… and is! You see, not only do you have your past memories – I know, your Mom doesn’t know about all of them… but she does know about a lot of them… You share those memories with each other and that’s what makes this technique so Great!

1. Remember Your first boyfriend/girlfriend? I’ll tell you what… you mom sure does! It was a huge landmark in the world of parenthood! I know it was for me (as a parent now). Don’t you think you can come up with a Great Poem about that day? How you felt when you know you were going to tell mom? Were you shaking… sweating… was it hard to breathe? Put all of those feelings into your poem – Your Mom will love it!

2. Now, I don’t know about you, but I had my share of vehicle issues! From my First Ticket… to getting caught in the back seat! Ouch! And one thing is for sure, my Mom never forgot any those time… I’m sure Yours won’t either. Express how you felt when you got caught or how terrified you were when you got pulled over! Or, how you felt when you had to tell her about that ticket.. All those thoughts and feeling can make for a wonderful poem!

3. How about your First Broken Heart? That was a terrible day for me… and I’m sure for you as well! Do you remember how your Mom was there for YOU? Did she hold you, cry with you… maybe she just gave you that LOOK (that said IT’s OK)… Tell her that you remember that time and how much it really meant to you!

4. How proud was she of you? Every parent loves to praise their sons or daughters for accomplishments. Do you remember when Mom was there at your first Swim Meet? Or that BMX Race… That first Soccer game… Do you remember how excited she was when you WON? Maybe you didn’t win… who cares… she was there for YOU and she will always remember that day! She was so proud of you just for finishing… Competing… Participating! Think about those feeling you had and how, when you hugged you… life was wonderful!

5. Your First Child! Oh… this is always a biggie… recall how much your Mom was involved. Now, she may not have even been there with you, but did that keep her from calling everyday to see how you were doing… how her new grandson/granddaughter was? Put into words how you felt.. how you felt as a new parent… and remember… she had those exact feeling when YOU were born!

You see? It’s all INSIDE YOU! All you have to do is look, feel, and remember. Both you and your mom share these memories and she will love nothing more than a Very Special Poem, written by YOU, on Mother’s Day! Now, go on and let her know how much she means to YOU! Let yourself go and the words will flow like you never thought possible.

I know you can do it!
