Indians Overdid Their Celebrations For 2 Olympic Medals!

A UK commentator laughs at Indians:

‘Celebrations!

For winning 2 medals – one silver, and one bronze.

With 120 billion population!

Come on, aren’t you upset?

You should have done better.’

To laugh at others

Godly trait is: laugh with others.

Devilish trait is: laugh at others, or troll at others.

Why do we laugh at others?

The UK is placed second in the Olympics Gold medals tally.

It has achieved one medal per million people.

But, when you live in a developed nation,

Learn: how not to look down upon the developing nations.

It is not a natural reaction, of a civilised human being.

We have to inculcate higher Godly traits,

More so, if we belong to a developed nation.

Unfortunately, we have fallen prey to ‘feeling proud and superior.’

Why we troll!

When we look down upon a person or a nation,

We feel: we are better relatively.

It makes us happier.

As a child, we learnt:

‘When wealth is lost, nothing is lost;

When health is lost, something is lost;

And when character is lost, everything is lost’ – Billy Graham.

A character is built up by integrating Godly traits:

Humility, devotion and perseverance, honesty, controlled sensual desires, believing presence of same God in humanity – irrespective of color, gender, religion, and race.

Winning a medal by any means – including doping, is undesirable.

Win medals, but retain basic humane values.

If we are still slave to lust, falsehood, snobbish outlook, we are sub-humans.

*An ‘I am the greatest’, gold medal winner, is slave to his sensual desires,

He acted less humane, in spite of his athletic excellence.

* A Gold medal winner, gets drunk and resorts to vandalism,

And makes a false statement: we were robbed.

He is a lesser human being.

He might have been deprived of advertisers sponsorship,

He still needs to understand life.

He has yet to learn the art of restrained, disciplined life.

* If a woman athlete from a developing nation, participates in Olympics,

Travelling first time by air,

And wins a bronze medal,

It is a journey, deserving praise, and recognition.

It is easy to laugh at others, but difficult to laugh with others.

Olympic games are meant to motivate humanity to excel in physical fitness.

We need physical fitness, and medals, but not at the cost of ethics and morality.

Let the Olympic games recognise excellence in sports, and discourage the misadventures.
