Postbuses are also available for transport especially if you also wanted to drop by the nearby villages in Airolo. You can use a bus ride if you also want to avoid walking to the cable car that will bring you towards the Ritcom lake area.If you start your trip from Zurich, you can choose to ride the Interregio train via Gotthard tunnel going to Airolo and it proceeds up to Bellinzona and Locarno.
