Historical theory assumes that this area has once been a place of human settlement, as a huge number of human skeletons have been found in the area.

Noppharat Thara

Noppharat Thara is a part of a marine national park. Its main attraction is a 3 kilometer long white sand beach, which makes it one of Krabi’s most popular beaches. Rows of coconut trees and casuarinas dotting the beach make for a picturesque view. The beach was then called as Khlong Haeng Beach, a Thai rendition for dried-canal beach. The name was descriptive of the areas natural feature seen during low tides: that of long sea shores paved by sea-shells.

Namtok Ron Khlong Thom is a hot spring located 45 kilometers away from the provincial town of Krabi, along Ban Bang Khram – Ban Bang Tiao. Hot springs and cold springs shaded by a forest area actually converge on a slope, and the resulting waterfall deliver a soothing cascade with a warm temperature ranging from 40 – 5- degrees Celsius.
