There are many places in Las Vegas that are worth a repeat visit; but when I am flying high above the strip as I approach my favorite destination, I can’t help but think of my favorite joints to hit in Las Vegas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Breakfast, the most important meal of the day, assuming you are up for breakfast; no problem with Ellis Island Casino’s all day breakfast you are in luck.
Ellis Island Casino Café, is a little off the beaten path, but walkable from the strip; Located directly behind Bally’s casino rear parking complex you will find this quaint old school casino café that serves a mean breakfast, similar to a great truck stop with just the right amount of grease to put you back on track for another day on the Las Vegas Strip.
If you are looking for something a little more strip central and romantic, you can always sub in Mon Ami Gabi; however be prepared to pay for your view of the Bellagio fountains.
Lunch, not too big not too small; but just right to hold you over to that nice evening dinner.
Earl of Sandwich, located in the Planet Hollywood, this is a popular spot for a quick snack that never fails to satisfy. The Earl of Sandwich is a chain restaurant; but don’t let that fool you because the Earl makes a sandwich second to none, and you can get a nice cold beer to wash it down while escaping for a reasonable $15; that is not a bad deal in Vegas. Try my favorite sandwich the Full Montagu you won’t be disappointed.
Dinner, you finally made it through the day on the strip, you are tired from walking and want to sit down in a memorable restaurant and waste away a couple of hours without wasting away all your cash.
Battista’s Hole in the Wall Italian restaurant, old world food at a great price with a great atmosphere. Located directly behind the Flamingo just off the strip you will find the hole in the wall restaurant where you can get that Italian comfort food and all you can drink wine by the flask; not bad for under $30 / person.
If you are looking for a similar experience; but with old Las Vegas feel, you can always put on your walking shoes and head down to the Circus Circus and try out the Steakhouse Restaurant; with its red leather booths and big round tables, you almost get a sense that this place was crawling with hipsters and gangsters back in the day.
