Day Two of knock out tournament football will showcase 4 more of the best teams competing for the World Cup.
The Winner of Group B will take on the Runner up of Group A.
Group A consist of South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay and France. My prediction is that France will top the group with South Africa coming in second ahead of Mexico
Group B consists of Argentina Nigeria South Korea and Greece. My prediction is that Argentina will head the group and Nigeria in second place.
The 19:30 game will be between Argentina and South Africa. Argentina with the array of talented footballers will be looking to knock out the hosts and progress to the quarter finals. With Lionel Messi, Maxi Rodriguez and Javier Mascherano they will be well backed to beat South Africa. Even without their star player Messi, the South Americas will be well backed to beat the home country. Argentina, two time winners of the world cup in 1978 and 1986 are not the team they were back then. However with Messi they have a player on par with Diego Maradona, and on his day can quite easily repeat the feat of his manager and go on to help his team to win the football world cup in Africa. Steven Pienaar is his country's best hope of upsetting the apple cart and getting in to the quarter finals. South Korea showed it could be done by progressing all the way to the semi finals in 2002, although it seems that the referees were giving them a helping hand. Just ask Italy who got knocked out by the Korean. Could it have been possible for Italy to have won the 2002 World Cup? Who knows. Anyway back to this game I can only see one winner. Argentina to win in 90 minutes 2-0.
