A soft top that is easy to close and open, redesigned for 2010 Jeep Wrangler is one of the distinguishing features of the new Wrangler. The 2010 Wrangler comes in Unlimited 4 door and two door versions, offered for the off roading fun. Rubicon, Sahara and sport are the three trim levels available in the new Wrangler lineup.

Earlier X trim level is replaced by the Sport model. Removable hardtop and a folding soft-top are available on all the Wranglers models. All the latest generation Wrangler models are equipped with a 3.8 liter V6 engine. The two door versions produce 202 horsepower, whereas the unlimited models produce 205 horsepower. There are two different transmissions on the offer this time – 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic. The two door model is available with only 4-wheel drive train, while both rear wheel drive and the 4 wheel drive are available in the 2010 Wrangler Unlimited models.

The maximum towing capacity of 2 door Wranglers is 2000 lbs, and it goes up to 3500 lbs on the Wrangler Unlimited versions. Anti skid system, front side airbags, traction control and the anti braking system are the conventional features available on the 2010 Wrangler.

Specific tires, locking differential and the electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar are the features offered optionally on the base version, and they’re available by default only on the top end trims. The mountain and islander packages have their own share of goodness, and come in unique body colors and interior trims.

First model of Wrangler was launched in the year 1987 and presently it is in its third generation. However, 2010 Jeep Wrangler is not doing too well in the market; nevertheless it is currently the Jeep brand’s centerpiece.
